Prof. Andrea MOSTACCI

Andrea Mostacci is Professor of Physics at La Sapienza, University of Rome where he teaches General Physics to the students of the Engineering Faculty.

In 2001, he obtained his PhD in Applied Electromagnetism defending a thesis on beam-wall losses in the Large Hadron Collider beam pipe.

His current R&D activity deals with novel accelerators, ranging from high brightness beams to plasma accelerators, coupling impedance issues as well as medical applications.

He started his training in accelerator physics as a student at the 1997 JUAS Course on “Particle Accelerator Physics”.
