Dr. Michaela Arnold studied physics at the Technical University Darmstadt (Germany). She obtained her PhD in 2016 on the design, planning and construction of a third recirculation with ERL-mode for the S-DALINAC. Since 2017 she is head of S-DALINAC operations at Technical University Darmstadt, being also co-responsible for the supervision of doctoral students.
She focuses on research in the field of energy recovery linacs (ERLs), including beam dynamics simulations and possible applications, e.g. Compton backscattering.
