Frédéric Bouly is a CNRS accelerator physicist at the “Laboratory of Subatomic Physics and Cosmology” (LPSC) in Grenoble. He obtained his PhD in 2011 for research on accelerating superconducting cavities and their control systems.
He has been working on the physics and technology of particle accelerators; especially on linacs beam dynamics and design, developments of fault-compensation methods, linacs operation, superconducting RF structures, realization and tests of an injector for an accelerator driven system (ADS).
He led (2016-2020) the accelerator R&D program carried out at CNRS for the MYRRHA ADS project. He has been involved in several accelerator projects such as SPIRAL2 commissioning (at GANIL), MYRRHA (at SCK CEN), HL-LHC (at CERN), SPL (at CERN).
