Bastian Härer studied physics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Karlsruhe, Germany.
In 2013 he came to CERN to work for the Future Circular Collider Project with Bernhard Holzer, and received his PhD from KIT in 2017.
After a two-year fellowship at CERN he went back to KIT to work as an accelerator scientist.
Bastian’s main expertise is lattice design and transverse beam optics. He supervises master and PhD students and lectures at the university.
He also is an elected member of the German “Committee for Accelerator Physics”.
