The European School of Instrumentation in Particle and Astroparticle Physics (ESIPAP) opened at ESI Archamps on 22nd January 2018 for its 5th session.
ESIPAP welcomes 15 international students for this edition: a promotion with participants from Italy, Palestine, France, Germany, Egypt, Colombia, Morocco, Korea, Finland, and India!
This unique program will be taught over 8 intensive weeks by more than 40 experts from the Partner Universities, European research institutes and CERN. The lectures are back up by practical works, computing sessions and “lab sessions” at CERN, which are a key part of the program.
This year, the Opening Lecture was delivered by Alain Blondel, member of CERN and Professor at the University of Geneva: he presented to both JUAS and ESIPAP students the Neutrino physics program.
All students and lecturers are looking forward to an exciting 5th edition of the school !
