The Joint US-CERN- Japan-Russia International Accelerator School 2017 (JAS’17) took place this year from 16 to 26 October in Hayama, south of Tokyo (Japan), and was devoted to RF Technologies. Fifty-five students from many regions of the world – including JUAS alumni – attended a dense program of lectures by experts from laboratories and universities in the countries of the four organizing parties, before embarking on a visit of the two high-energy accelerator laboratories of Japan, namely J- PARC in Tokai and KEK in Tsukuba.

Philippe Lebrun, director of JUAS, invited to lecture in the School, took the opportunity to meet with the directors of the regional accelerator schools and introduce JUAS to the students. The short video of JUAS 2017 triggered student interests and many questions about the forthcoming 2018 session.
